Mike's leaving/Recording/Merch

Hey humans. We've got a load of news for you.


But first and foremost, after three years with Overthrow, Mike has decided to leave the band. This hasn't come out of the blue, and it's certainly all been done on good terms. Mike wishes to take a different direction to us musically, and will now be focusing on new projects including electro/dubstep outfit ‘Traffic’, as well as recording/producing artists. Mike has contributed some beautiful bass lines and soaring vocals over the years, and has been the person who booked the majority of our gigs, so he won't be the easiest man to replace, but the search begins now! We wish Mike the best of luck for all future endeavours. We'll see him all the time anyway as he only lives down the road. On top of that we both play in the most formidable force in football history - The Furious Panthers. I digress. We will miss Mike musically, but we won't lose him as a friend so it's all good.



In other news...


We will be releasing each of the six songs on 'A Ghost In The Machine' as a digital single with a previously unreleased B-side. The release dates will be:

By Night We Escape - 2nd Oct
Cut Loose - 16th Oct
Vivid Reminder - 30th Oct
Doublespeak - 13th Nov
C3PO - 27th Nov
Rick Stein Is Addicted To Mobile Discos - 11th Dec

And we'll announce each B-side in the week leading up to it's release. We're really excited to get these B-sides out there. There's a couple of tracks that didn't make it on to the last EP, and won't make it on to the next EP, but they're still great tracks, so it'll be cool to get them out there for you and save them being lost forever! The releases will be through both bandcamp and itunes. Through bandcamp we will be charging 50p per single. Cheap as chips, you can always give us more if you wish! Itunes will set the price themselves, so we don't know how much they'll be on there, but we've selected the 'budget' price.



After this we will be heading back up to Bridlington to record another EP with James Kenosha! We've got a load more tracks already, which we'll be spending the next 3 months perfecting, and we're really thrilled to be heading back into the studio with James. We had a fantastic time recording the last EP, and we were extremely happy with what James did. As always it's a different direction to what we've done before, but there really is going to be a mixture on there. Something for all the family, especially your nan and probably your hamster. Just wait and see/hear.



Merch. That's right, we have merch. If you dont believe it we can prove it. All you have to do is buy something.

We also finally have an awesome T-shirt design! It was designed by the mysterious master of artistic creation Stella Bom Bella. Also fear not, it's a high quality image/print, the picture just doesn't always load at full quality. They will only be blurry if you can't see properly.
